AI-Assisted Design Minor
The AI-Assisted Design minor equips students with the tools to integrate artificial intelligence into their creative processes. By balancing conceptual strategy with hands-on practice, the curriculum prepares students to leverage AI for generative design, motion design, and interactive media. While exploring these emerging workflows, students bolster their foundation in human-centered design and commit to the ethical use of technology in their professional practice.

Upon completion of the AI-Assisted Design minor, students will be able to:
- Incorporate ethical and legal considerations, including copyright, authorship, data privacy, and algorithmic bias, into AI-enhanced design workflows.
- Apply AI-assisted design tools and methodologies to generate innovative concepts, prototypes, and interactive experiences across digital platforms.
- Develop low- to high-fidelity prototypes that effectively integrate visuals, interaction design, and user experience principles.
- Synthesize AI-generated content, such as visuals, microcopy, and interface elements, with traditional design practices to communicate concepts and narratives clearly.
- Critically evaluate AI-assisted design work for usability, aesthetic quality, innovation, and alignment with professional and ethical standards.
- Create a portfolio-ready body of work demonstrating technical proficiency, creative vision, and responsible use of AI in professional design practice.
