Game UX/UI Design Minor
Through hands-on projects, students will conceptualize and design for a variety of game formats and genres, ranging from traditional board games and card games to immersive digital experiences. Emphasis is placed on learning and applying user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles to create intuitive and immersive player journeys. This minor is designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in game design and for those who seek to apply UX/UI fundamentals to create fun and engaging mobile apps, interactive websites, and other digital experiences.

Upon completion of the Game UX/UI Design minor, students will be able to:
- Identify fundamental principles of game design, including mechanics, player engagement strategies, and the iterative design process.
- Explain core UX/UI concepts, including usability, accessibility, and interface design, and their impact on player experience and engagement.
- Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies to design, prototype, and test game interfaces and user experiences across various platforms.
- Evaluate game UX/UI design choices by assessing player behavior, feedback, and usability data to identify areas for improvement.
- Critique existing game interfaces and player experiences using UX/UI heuristics, accessibility guidelines, and best practices to recommend design enhancements.
- Develop innovative, user-centered game UX/UI solutions by synthesizing game design principles, player psychology, and interactive storytelling to create engaging and immersive game experiences.
