Creative Technology Minor
The Creative Technology minor invites students to experiment with emerging technologies and apply them creatively within their major fields. Through hands-on projects and interdisciplinary collaboration, students gain a strong foundation in digital culture, design technologies, and innovation—expanding their ability to integrate technology into art, design, business, and communication practices.
The Creative Technology minor is open to all students in the Schools of Art and Design, Business and Technology, and Liberal Arts.
The requirements below are intended for students beginning fall 2026. To declare your minor, please speak to your academic advisor for assistance.

Requirements:
- The successful completion of at least five (5) courses (as detailed below) is required, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. The minor must be completed before graduation.
- You are encouraged to complete four (4) classes from the list of choices before registering for the required CT 441 Creative Technology Lab.
- If only three classes have been completed, you must be registered for the fourth class or be in the process of completing the fourth class before registering for the required CT 441 Creative Technology Lab.

Upon completion of the Creative Technology minor, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in using emerging technologies as creative tools for exploration, communication, and problem-solving.
- Integrate creative technology concepts and methods within their major field to enhance innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Critically analyze and engage with digital culture, understanding the social, ethical, and aesthetic implications of technology in creative practice.
- Apply experimental approaches to designing and prototyping interactive, motion-based, or generative works using contemporary digital tools.
