PL 250 — Ethics and Technology: Agency, Freedom, and Responsibility

This course will explore philosophical basis of technology as it developed alongside humans, moving into a discussion of the contemporary waves of technological advances, including social media, cell phones, biotech, and generative AI. The promised benefits and major critiques of technology will be addressed alongside the ethical dilemmas these technologies present.
