MW 121 — Menswear Design Studio Art I
2.5 credits; 1 lecture and 3 lab hours
In this introductory course, students execute in 2-D format visual representations of a variety of original designs for basic menswear silhouettes. They are inspired through research and development of design concepts by viewing current menswear designs, market analysis, historical research, and inspirational trends.

The program is progressive and leads to the development of the student's own aesthetics. Successful students will be able to adapt and apply their acquired knowledge to the evolving fashion industry, related design fields, and other creative careers not yet imagined.
