MC 203 — Gender as Performance: Representation of Masculinities in Latin American/Latinx Theatre

3 credits; 3 lecture hours

This course provides an introduction to Latin American and Latinx theatre from the point of view of gender studies and the representation of masculinities. Students gain an understanding of the different trends that led to the development of theatrical manifestations in Latin America while learning about their historical, socio-economical, political, and cultural context from the late 60s up to nowadays.
