FF 121 — Fashion Research and Inspiration
2 credits; 1 lecture and 2 lab hours
Lectures sequentially cover ancient eras to the Industrial Revolution and the end of the 19th century. Emphasis is on women's wear silhouettes along with textile development, construction innovation, garment details, accessories and the arts and culture of each period will be studied. Historic inspiration as utilized by contemporary designers will be identified and analyzed.
