EN 381 — Asian Fiction: Regional Selections (Honors)

3 credits; 3 lecture hours

Introduces Asian fiction through a flexible regional and thematic lens. Readings may focus on specific regions, such as East, South, Central and Southeast Asia, or trace broader transnational connections. Students analyze themes of identity, sexuality, gender, culture, activism, and nationalism through canonical and contemporary works from diverse languages and traditions.
Prerequisite(s): qualification for Presidential Scholars Program, or 3.5 GPA with approval of dean for Liberal Arts.
