EN 373 — The Graphic Novel
3 credits; 3 lecture hours
The course will introduce students to the ever-evolving world of graphic novels from the ‘Golden Age,’ underground comix revolution to today’s graphic works of fiction, memoir and creative nonfiction. Themes of history and family, war and violence, racial and cultural identity, sexuality and society, censorship and expression will be explored.
Prerequisite(s): EN 131 or equivalent.
